Soletair Power's Direct Air Capture project received ERDF funding
The Häme Center for
Economic Development, Transport and the Environment has awarded Soletair Power a
company development grant for the project Improving the efficiency of the Direct
Air Capture device.
Soletair Power supplies
Direct Air Capture (DAC) systems to connect to the ventilation of buildings, which
can be used to capture carbon dioxide from the ventilation air (as well as the ventilation
replacement air) in the building. Hydrocarbons
are produced from carbon dioxide using emission-free electrical energy. In this way, carbon sinks are formed from the
properties and the indoor air quality of the properties improves as the carbon dioxide
levels decrease. Examples of targets include
airports, office buildings and schools that need to become carbon neutral, as well
as large global companies with significant brand value from climate issues.
In the ERDF project, the company is building a carbon capture unit for DAC equipment and making it more efficient. The project will continue until the end of 2021.
